The wizard is teaching some members of the Royal Court how to build self-esteem. The participants reflect individually and discuss in pairs, and finally a noblewoman describes what she has learned.
"Once upon a time, there was a woman who understood the value of building new human competencies."
The notion of building competency
It is important to understand that once we truly begin to love ourselves and take responsibility for building a foundation of love in our life, we grow less dependent on love from others.
Table of Content
No more angling for love, being prepared to deny parts of ourselves to fulfil other people’s wishes, willing to sell out, compromise our integrity and thus essentially debase ourselves. Our way of being in world changes fundamentally when we begin to live in accordance with the self-esteem paradigm and use the confidence paradigm to build external skills and competencies that improve our professional capacity, for example, but no longer serve as a sublimation of love. That paradigm shift is only possible if we transform our consciousness. A change in consciousness may result from an external factor. Changes in consciousness may also arise from within as the result of an active decision, learning, reflection and action.
