A group of people are talking, and a nobleman feels left out.
"Once upon a time, there was a man who felt left out whenever he abandoned himself."
The notion of feeling left out
When we feel left out, it is either because we are left out or because we are shutting ourselves out.
When we have abandoned ourselves, and thus our needs, resources and interests, we feel left out, whether we are physically alone or with other people.
When we abandon ourselves, it is typically because we do not like ourselves enough to act on our needs. If our self-esteem is poor, we fail to either engage in the conversation or move away because there is something going on that we are not happy with.
